In 1998, we started to dive into this fascinating virtual world from a very small nook in Patagonia: San Martín de los Andes. Our first development was a website which included the so-called Lake Corridor in Argentinian Patagonia: 7lagos.com, a response to the needs of the local tourist market through the Internet.
The typical dynamics of this medium, the enrichment of the site contents and the accurate marketing actions have represented a sustained growth in the number of visitors, and in a few months, we became a mandatory reference source for all those who wished to travel around the region.
This led our company, Interpatagonia S.A., to break all the site borders in order to include the rich Patagonian geography through the creation of a new travel guide, an expression of our main principle: integration. Thus, Interpatagonia.com, the travel guide which integrated cities from Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia, was created to provide information to all users about this precious destination.
Turned into the most visited site in Patagonia, this successful experience encouraged us to develop a second online travel guide: Welcomeargentina.com. This site, which includes the most important cities in Argentina, ratifies our line of thought: "By integrating destinations, we optimize tourist promotion and enriched travel planning".
Afterwards, we resolved to update the initial challenge with more strength and launched Welcomechile.com, the guide that offers information about trips all around Chile.
With the same spirit of Welcomeargentina and Welcomechile, today we introduce Welcomeuruguay.com, which shows the best destinations, attractions, stories and services in Uruguay.
While users like you surf this guide, our team is working on the updating of data and doing research on the culture, the places, the characters and the sceneries that make up the Uruguayan identity.
Thus, our portals set a new concept in online travel guides. The Welcome guides of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay rescue the diversity of each area from a typical, dynamic and interactive perspective. It is by reinforcing integration as our basic idea that these portals suggest a new way of traveling, of discovering each country with a style of their own: the style of the Welcome guides.
